What is Double-Glazing
Double-Glazing comprises of 2 pieces of glass being sealed together, with options for gas or air to be sealed in between.
Double-glazing can often be retro-fitted to existing frames and or sashes, dependant on quality and sizing.
Benefits of Double-Glazing
Double glazing is known to assist in heating / cooling, noise reduction and sun / UV protection.
New Zealand building standards requires all new homes to be fitted with double-glazing because single-glazed homes transfer cold air and lead to condensation.
Double-glazing increases conditions within the home and can reduce the amount of energy required to heat and maintain a pleasant temperature.
